We are taking a 12 hour road trip to see family this summer. We’ll have two dogs and our 1 year old son. What kinds of toys, games, or other entertainment should we take with to keep him from getting bored? Any other suggestions?

How long would it take, traveling at 600 mph, from the sun to travel to the nearest star?

Has anyone ever experienced a boss or supervisor having a power trip over you? If so, how did you deal with it? Or have any of you ever worked for a company of where the management thought you weren’t a good worker, even though you were, because the company doesn’t handle and manage people very well? For an example, getting blammed for not doing something in a computer system, even though you were doing your job, but there was a glitch in the system. How do you deal with these kinds of problems in the work place?

I just booked a vacation to vegas and think I may have spent too much based on what I make. What I spent is about a month’s worth of my yearly earnings. Is that normal? What should be the actual percent of your yearly income that goes to a vacation do you think?

Flights are expensive things and I travel alone and like space on the aircraft. So when is the best time to travel when the tickets will be their cheapest and when there is less chance of crowded planes?

In about two weeks (first week of December) I’m going on a trip to Washington DC with some friends. I was wondering what shoes should I pack. Should I bring my boots (Uggs) or should I bring my tennis shoes (New Balance)? Or should I bring both? I want to pack as light as possible and I think they are both super comfortable to walk in.
How cold will it get? I’m from Louisiana so we don’t get much of a winter.
Also if you have any other item packing suggestions, that would be a big help. Thanks!

We are a family of 5. Mom and Dad, three kids. Ages at time of vacation 18 months, 8 yrs and 13 yrs old.
We want to stay in a hotel, because of the youngest. We will be going in the summer, not sure what month yet between June and August.
We want to visit the coast. I have no idea what to expect. We don’t know what each part of the coast has to offer. I am assuming we will try to stay as close to the south as possible. We are in NJ. We can travel a bit north if there are good vacation areas.
We’re looking for wildlife, and nature, but also things that can be fun for kids who might get bored of just nature.
We need good tips for dining and places to stay. Also, does anyone know what the weather is like during the summer in Maine?
Once I get some basic info, I can run with it. I have been to a ton of Maine tourism websites, but I need a starting point.
